Testimonials

Our volunteers share their journeys. Hear from those on the ground

Why #iserve ? I can't agree less with renowned Indian entrepreneur, pharmacist and philanthropist, Dr. Kallam Anji Reddy when he said: “Everyone has a purpose in life and a unique talent to give to others. And when we blend this unique talent with service to others, we experience the ecstasy and exultation of our spirit, which is the ultimate goal of all goals.” And for me, that is why hashtag#Iserve at Youth Arise Organization
#iserve- From an ordinary participant to a facilitator Over six years ago, I walked into my first Youth Arise Organization leadership conference as a participant, eager to learn grow. Today, I’m honored to stand on the other side as a facilitator, guiding young people through the same life changing program! (If I was told this would happen six years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it😂)
A few years ago, I found myself sitting among the participants at the 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘦 (LDTP). I was a young dreamer, searching for clarity and a sense of purpose. Each session felt like a light in the fog, guiding me toward an understanding of leadership and self-discovery. Deep down, I carried a quiet hope—a dream that one day, I could return to this transformative space, not just as someone eager to learn but as someone ready to inspire and give back to the program that left an indelible mark on me. Fast forward to this year, and that dream became my reality. I came back to LDTP—not as a participant—but as a workshop assistant. #iserve

REQUIREMENT TO SERVE

Note:

There is no typical profile for an LDTP or SALC volunteer. Each assignment is unique, and each role has its own specific expectations. What unites all our volunteers is a shared desire to serve, grow, and lead with purpose.

You must have previously participated in LDTP or SALC. We only recruit from among alumni to ensure that every volunteer understands the flow, values, and vision of the work

  • All 6 selected LDTP days over the 6-week period

  • All 2 days of SALC, including the pre-day setup and post-day debrief

  • Any scheduled orientation and preparation meetings (dates will be communicated early)

This is not a one-off commitment—we rely on your full presence and consistency.

While we ask for role preferences during sign-up, you must be willing to serve wherever you are assigned based on regional needs and team balance. Every role is important

  • You must be able to work well in a team, show respect to others, and follow instructions

  • Be responsive in your regional WhatsApp group and attend all team briefings

  • Time-consciousness is essential

All volunteers must attend a compulsory orientation (virtual or in-person) before serving. You will not be confirmed to serve without participating in this session.

You are not just helping with logistics—you are representing a movement of leadership and transformation. Serve with excellence, humility, and initiative.

Volunteers are required to:

  • Cover their own transportation to and from venues

  • Purchase the official organization cloth and T-shirt, which will be worn on designated days
Further dress code and logistics details will be shared during orientation.
