Welcome to SALC '25

The Stepping Ahead Leadership Conference (SALC) is an annual leadership workshop organized by the Youth Arise Organization for Senior High School Leavers and College students. It is organized as an abridged version of the Leadership Diary Training Program (LDTP), and typically lasts for about 2 to 3 days. The workshop seeks to contribute to the process of empowering young people through education and training as well as through a reflection and the joint development of a set of ethical values for leadership in the country.

Take Action After SALC

Every SALC participant launches an “After Learning Project” (ALP)—a real-world initiative that applies their new skills to a local issue. It’s your first step in leading impact.

HAPPY Alums

What are past participants of the Stepping Ahead Leadership Conference saying???

First of all, I loved the way the counselors and workshop assistants socialized with us and also served us. I also loved the food😊, it was superb 👌

Sylvia Baltes SALC Takoradi '19

I liked everything about SALC because it gave me a clearer view of life after SHS and a fair knowledge on the university life.

Mary Ofori Mensah SALC Takoradi '18

Well...the food was one because honestly the food was amazing. Also I like the time we were asked to take pictures, I also enjoyed the sessions on mentorship and continuous learning and also I enjoyed the time we were asked to socialize. But all in all I enjoyed every bit of the program.
