Youth Arise Organization (YAO) will host the 2026 Community Hope and Charity Campaign (CHCC) at the Graceland Needy Child Shelter Home in Bawjiase, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to compassionate leadership and community transformation.
After celebrating ten years of impact in 2025, when the organization made its first outreach to the shelter, YAO is returning with a stronger vision, moving beyond donations to support long-term structural improvements that will benefit the children living at the facility.

Supporting Over 100 Children at Graceland
Graceland Needy Child Shelter Home currently houses more than 100 children aged between 2 and 18. The facility serves as both a home and a school, providing daily care, shelter, and education within the same compound. With about 20 staff members, mostly part-time, the home continues to operate through dedication and sacrifice despite limited resources.
Progress from CHCC 2025
During a recent needs assessment visit, Youth Arise Organization observed encouraging progress made with items donated during the 2025 CHCC celebration.
Building materials donated last year have been used to begin the construction of a three-unit classroom block, which is currently approaching the lintel level. In addition, part of the roofing structure for the children’s study and sleeping area has been replaced, improving safety and comfort.
For YAO, these visible improvements demonstrate that community partnerships built on trust can produce meaningful results.

The Work Still Ahead
Despite the progress, significant needs remain. The unfinished classroom block stands as both a symbol of hope and a reminder of the work still required. Once completed, it will provide a more suitable learning environment by separating classroom activities from sleeping areas and improving the children’s overall well-being.
Other parts of the facility also require renovation to ensure safer and more dignified living conditions for the children.
CHCC 2026: A Renewed Commitment
As part of CHCC 2026, Youth Arise Organization plans to support the completion of the three-unit classroom project and carry out additional renovations within the shelter.
The campaign will mobilize building materials, financial support, and essential supplies to strengthen the home’s infrastructure and improve the quality of life for the children.
With the right partnerships and contributions, the 2026 campaign aims to deliver a more sustainable and lasting impact than ever before.
For Youth Arise Organization, the Community Hope and Charity Campaign is a movement rooted in compassion, responsibility, and youth-led service.
By returning to Graceland Needy Child Shelter Home in 2026, YAO is not only strengthening its partnership with the shelter but also reaffirming the promise that every child deserves a safe place to live, learn, and grow without limitations.
